YUKON - The updated NI 43-101 report for the Cantung tungsten mine near Watson Lake includes expanded resources, according to owner NORTH AMERICAN TUNGSTEN of Vancouver. Numbers were given for both open pit and underground mineralization. The indicated resources recoverable from underground are 1.27 million tonnes at 1.76% WO3. There are also indicated resources of 1.66 million tonnes at 0.80% WO3 recoverable by open pit mining. Better yet, the mine is believed to contain total probable reserves of 1.03 million tonnes grading 1.17% WO3.

The higher numbers are due to exploration of new zones, inclusion of lower-grade zones rendered economic by high prices, and planned pillar recovery.
