UTAH - DENISON MINES of Toronto has begun buying uranium ore for its White Mesa mill in the southeast corner of the state. This 1,800-t/d facility is currently the only conventional uranium mill operating in the United States.
Denison has been stockpiling its own ore in preparation for restarting the mill in Q1 2008. Buying 40,000 t of ore per year from independent miners will supplement Denisons ore.
