VICTAULIC COMPANY has launched the Vic-Knife Series 793 and Series 797 knife gate valves featuring modular design, which means cost savings due to shorter installation times and faster repairs.
The Vic-Knife Series 793 and Series 797 are equipped with interchangeable modular ends to accommodate IPS carbon, grooved, or plain-end steel pipe or plain-end HDPE pipe. Ideal for slurry and abrasive services, both series are designed with carbon steel body plates that include a flush port option at the bottom of the valve.
Both Series 793 and Series 797 knife gate valves have a straightforward design and single set of bolts, offering contractors ease of installation and allowing for quick disassembly and reassembly for seat and end replacement, which eliminates the cost of replacing the valve when new seats are necessary. Because it does not contain flanged ends like traditional knife gate valves, only two couplings are required to join the valve, making it more cost-effective to maintain by reducing the amount of time required for ongoing valve maintenance and replacement, and increasing overall efficiency.
Rated to 150 psi (1035 kPa), Vic-Knife Series 793 and Series 797 are available in 3-inch through 12-inch (80-300 mm) sizes with a hand wheel, gear operator, chain wheel, and pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuator.
