Advances in drone technology have made autonomous flight in hazardous and GPS-denied environments, such as underground mines, a reality. At Canadian Mining Journal's Reimagine Mining Symposium on Oct. 13, Emesent CEO and cofounder Stefan Hrabar discussed how the Hovermap technology commercialized by Emesent is making mapping survey work faster and safer, and how it's helping miners derive insight from the data that's captured.

The conversation was moderated by Carl Williams, a former senior staff writer with The Northern Miner.
