QUEBEC – Sirios Resources of Montreal recently sent samples from the Cheechoo gold discovery in James Bay for metallurgical testing during which 70% of the gold was recovered by gravity methods. The tests were done on three composite drill core samples.

Cyanide leaching of the gravity tails recovered between 60% and 80% of the remaining gold after six hours of leaching with NaCN and lime not exceeding 0.5 kg/t. Total recovery was attained between 92% and 93%.

The Cheechoo property is located 800 km north of Montreal and less than 10 km from Goldcorp's new Éléonore gold mine. Sirios is earning a 100% in the project from Golden Valley.
