MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: Astur Gold and East Asia Minerals

Vancouver-based Astur Gold Corp. has appointed Sean Roosen to its board of directors. He is the CEO and president of Osisko Mining, chairman of EurAsia Holding and a director of Rio Novo Gold, Dalradian Resources and Bowmore Exploration.

East Asia Minerals of Vancouver has named Dr. Darryl Clark its new VP exploration. He is a graduate of the University of Tasmania and a former employee of both Vale and BHP Billiton.
