Eriez of Erie, PA, has promoted Derek Novotny to manager of coal processing. He holds a degree in mining engineering from Laurentian University of Sudbury, ON.

Manitou Gold of Sudbury, ON, has named Todd Keast, its president, to the role of CEO as well. Former CEO Richard Murphy has left the company. Keast has over 25 years of exploration and management experience with Canadian juniors.

Peter Hooper, COO and a director of Toronto-based PC Gold, is also now the company’s president and CEO He replaces JP Chauvin who will remain a director.

Rudi Fronk, president and CEO of Toronto’s Seabridge Gold since 1999, is now the company’s chairman and CEO. Jay Layman will be the president and retain his title of COO. Former chairman James Anthony is now chairman of the corporate governance committee.
