TORONTO -Women in Mining Canada hosted its largest ever international networking reception at the PDAC with over 650 people attending. This was the fourth year WIM has held such a gathering at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada annual convention in March..

WIM president MaryAnn Mihychuk welcomed the audience by celebrating the global contributions that women have made to the vibrant minerals industry. She remarked on the growing health of the economy due to increased demand for resources and WIM Canada's vision for improving the retention, advancement and promotion of women in mining.

WIM also sponsored a new student-industry workshop for young females to help them hone the necessary skills for networking, resume building and job searches. Thoughts were shared with senior female professionals, including tips on "what not to do" in certain situations.
