MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: Crocodile Gold and Prophecy Resource

Crocodile Gold of Toronto has named David Keough as COO for its Australian interests. He has held previous positions at Goldcorp, Wheaton River, Minera Alumbrera and Placer Dome.

Rob McEwen, a leading Canadian mining industry entrepreneur, has joined the board of Vancouver-based Prophecy Resource Corp. He was the founder of Goldcorp, pointing the company along the road it follows today as one of the world's largest gold producers. McEwen is a recipient of the Order of Canada.
