QUEBEC – Saying they are significantly under-explored, Eastmain Resources is going to test the former Eastmain gold mine and the Ruby Hill East and West properties near James Bay. The Montreal-based company has raised $1.3 million for mapping, prospecting, trenching and 5,000 metres of drilling. Prospecting will follow up of 15 targets in highly prospective geological units following a computer aided resource detection system (CARDS) analysis conducted by Diagnos Inc. Trenching will begin in late July on high grade gold surface showings and VTEM conductors. Work will focus on targets with similar gold-silver-copper mineralization characteristic of the past-producing A and B zones. Drilling is to begin in late August with 17 holes in the Eastmain mine and the Ruby Hill East block. The company is planning a full assessment of the Eastmain property, including a review of historic resource estimates and the condition of site infrastructure. The old mine development areas are accessible via a ramp. Particulars of the Eastmain project are available at www.Eastmain.com.
