(Image: Spanish Mountain Gold)[/caption] BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Spanish Mountain Gold has begun a series of field programs for its Spanish Mountain gold project 70 km northeast of Williams Lake, in the Cariboo division. An exploration drilling program is planned for the Phoenix zone to identify more mineralization. Only the high grade core (First zone) was included in the preliminary economic assessment of 2011. Discovered in 2011, the Phoenix zone is less than 2 km west of the proposed pit. Within the First zone, the company plans to conduct infill drilling with the aim of converting inferred mineralization to measured and indicated. Spanish Mountain has conducted an archeological impact assessment on the site of the proposed open pit and found to free of concerns. The AIA will now be expanded to the remaining project area. The work will be done with field technicians and heritage specialists representing the local First Nations. After metallurgical testing at three independent laboratories, Spanish Mountain has settled on a flowsheet with flotation followed by cyanidation of a concentrate. The company is currently planning to test a further 4 tonnes of material. Enjoy the photo gallery at www.SpanishMountainGold.com.
