Modern Mining and Technology Sudbury (MMTS) announces Sudbury Mining Week will return October 16–24, 2025. The annual program unites industry, government and educational institutions to highlight opportunities in contemporary mining and related technologies.
MMTS is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization that promotes mining and technology to students, educators and the wider community. Working with regional partners, MMTS raises awareness of mining’s vital role in today’s society.
Events will run across multiple venues in Greater Sudbury throughout the week. Organizers designed Sudbury Mining Week to inform and inspire youth while underscoring the city’s leadership in mining innovation and northern development.
Nicole Tardif, chair of Modern Mining and Technology Sudbury, said: "Mining Week is an opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate our achievements, and highlight the important role mining plays in shaping a sustainable future for Greater Sudbury,”
Sudbury Mining Week strengthens partnerships among industry, academia and the community, helping the next generation learn about the wide range of rewarding careers in the mining sector.
