New Age Metals (TSX.V: NAM; US-OTCQB: NMTLF) has acquired additional land in Ontario's Ring of Fire region, expanding its Northern Shield Platinum Group Metals-Copper-Nickel and Critical Minerals Project. The company staked 621 new mining claims covering approximately 120 Sq.km (12,000 ha), increasing the total project area to around 320 sq. km (32,000 ha).

This expansion builds on New Age Metals' previous acquisition of the Northern Shield project and strengthens its position along interpreted mafic-ultramafic geological trends within the Ring of Fire. The expanded property is prospective for platinum group metals, nickel, and copper mineralization.

"To our shareholders, this expansion represents disciplined growth at the right time and in the right place. Our team has done tremendous work identifying and securing additional prospective ground in the southern extension, strengthening our overall position within the Ring of Fire," Harry Barr, chairman and CEO of New Age Metals, stated.

Barr highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition, noting: "With the province and First Nation communities moving forward on the Ring of Fire supply road and transmission lines, we are seeing meaningful progress toward unlocking one of Canada's most important critical mineral regions. Infrastructure development is a major step forward for the district, and I believe positioning ourselves ahead of that build-out is strategically important."

The expanded Northern Shield Project now covers portions of a layered mafic-ultramafic intrusive complex considered prospective for reef-style PGM-Ni-Cu sulphide mineralization. New Age Metals plans to continue data compilation and geological interpretation across the expanded land package to prioritize exploration targets.

This acquisition aligns with ongoing government and industry momentum in developing the Ring of Fire region. Ontario is targeting 2026 for commencement of a supply road, while Hydro One has been designated to construct a 230-km transmission line to support future mining operations in the area.

New Age Metals intends to engage proactively with local First Nations communities as it advances exploration on the expanded Northern Shield Project. The company views this acquisition as strengthening its portfolio of platinum group metals projects in North America.
