COAL: More Chinese miners killed in second blast at mine

CHINA – Just three days after a blast killed 28 Chinese coal miners, a second blast at the same mine killed six more. Eleven other miners were missing after the explosion in the mine near the city of Baishan in Jilin province.

Nor were these the only recent fatal accidents in the world's most populous country. An exploding iron furnace killed four, and a landslide in a copper mine in Tibet buried 83 miners.
