GUINEA Three exceptionally large diamonds21.47, 10.72 and 7.26 caratshave been recovered from the Mandala River project of Montreal-based SEARCHGOLD RESOURCES. The company says that historically the area has produced very large diamonds. About 40 km north of Mandala, the Aredor mine yielded a 255.61-ct stone which sold for over US$10 million.
SearchGold says it has returned its leased equipment and is now operating with new equipment sent from Canada. The company is planning its third diamond delivery to Antwerp, Belgium, shortly. More information is available from president Maurice Giroux at 514-866-4224 or write to info@SearchGold.ca.
