FORT A LA CORNE, Saskatchewan BOART LONGYEAR of North Bay, Ont., has won the drilling contract for the East Side diamond property of FOREST GATE RESOURCES. The contract calls for drilling 350-metre-deep NQ holes in the Dizzy kimberlite to outline its size.
Gravity and ground magnetic surveys over the Dizzy kimberlite suggest that the kimberlite may be as much as 100 metres thick, although drilling to date has only sampled the top 23 metres. Modeling indicates that it is probably around 250 metres in diameter, consisting of both magnetic and non-magnetic kimberlite.
