GOLD: Appalaches begins mining at Dufferin

NOVA SCOTIA – Mining has begun at the underground Dufferin gold mine belonging to Ressources Appalaches of Rimouski, QC. The mine and mill are located near Port Dufferin. The ore will be stockpiled on surface n anticipation of mill start-up.

Stoping is underway in vein No.1 at faces 120 metres and 235 metres from the entrance to the mine. Four crews of fine miners are working day and night shifts. The mining rate will be increased gradually to 300 t/d.
