GOLD: Lundin wastes no time at Fruta del Norte, names engineering team

ECUADOR – Vancouver's Lundin Gold is wasting no time since its acquisition of the Fruta del Norte large, high grade, undeveloped gold project late last year. The company has assembled a team of highly skilled engineering firms that will contribute to the project.

AMEC Foster Wheeler Americas is responsible for process, project water management, infrastructures, report preparation and overall project management.

NCL Engineering and Construction will handle reserve estimates, underground mine design, and associated surface facilities.

Patterson and Cooke Canada will design the backfill system that may include both paste and/or cemented rock fill.

SRK Consulting (Canada) will tackle hydrogeology studies and the geotechnical aspects of the mine and plant designs.

SGS Minerals will begin metallurgical testing shortly.

The Lundin gold staff is currently performing environmental permitting activities with various consulting groups.
