ONTARIO – GTA Resources and Mining of Burlington, ON, has completed a drill program at the Northshore gold property 4 km south of Schreiber in the Hemlo-Schreiber Greenstone Belt. The program consisted of five holes totaling 853 metres.

Two of the holes drilled in the Afric zone returned 9.47 g/t Au over 9.0 metres hosted in a 201-metres intersection that averaged 0.73 g/t along its length.

Three other holes tested the recently identified Gino vein 250 metres north of the Afric zone and 100 metres south of the historical workings of the Northshore mine. All cut a steeply dipping east-west trending quartz-carbonate vein system returning high grade intercepts of 46.4 g/t Au over a 1.0 metres, 41.6 g/t Au over 1.0 metres, and 6.38 g/t Au over 2.0 metres. GTA noted that the intercepts occur at vertical depths of less than 125 metres.

The Northshore property is 100% owned by Balmoral Resources. GTA has optioned the property and expects to earn an initial 51% early next year and a total of 70% by completing further work.
