ONTARIO – Gold recoveries during metallurgical tests from its four gold properties in Timmins are "excellent," according to Lexam VG Gold of Toronto. Recoveries range from 90.7% to 98.5%, in line with  historical recoveries from the Buffalo Ankerite, Paymaster, Fuller, and Davidson Tisdale mines.

Tests using traditional gravity concentration and cyanide leaching were performed successfully using a relatively coarse grind, P80 of 68 to 82 microns. The samples also exhibited low reagent consumption and short leaching times. Lexam says that finer grinding of the ore would probably result in even higher recoveries.

The company is exploring the former gold mines hoping to eventually mine them with open pit methods. The 43-101 estimate includes 761,400 measured and indicated tonnes grading 1.91 g/t Au plus 358,400 inferred tonnes grading 1.78 g/t Au ( with a cut-of of 0.51 g/t ).
