NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – Seabridge Gold of Toronto has offered the maiden resource estimate for the Walsh Lake gold deposit at its Courageous Lake project 240 km northeast of Yellowknife. The deposit contains an estimated 482,000 oz of gold in 4.62 million inferred tonnes grading 3.24 g/t Au.

The Walsh Lake model is based on 17,450 metres of diamond drilling on 50-metre centres. The inferred grade is about 50% higher than the reserve grade at the FAT deposit.

The FAT deposit has proven and probable reserves of 91 million tonnes grading 2.20 g/t Au and contains 6.5 million oz of gold. It also includes 107.32 million measured and inferred tonnes grading 2.31 g/t Au, containing 7.97 million oz of gold (including reserves). A further 48.96 million tonnes at 2.18 g/t (3.43 million oz) rest in the inferred resource.
