NEVADA – As part of the prefeasibility work, West Kirkland Mining of Vancouver reports that using high pressure grinding rolls on material from the Hasbrouck deposit boosted heap leach recovery to 72.6% from 60% from earlier tests using conventional crushing.

West Kirkland has a 75% interest in the Hasbrouck and Three Hills oxide gold deposits located near Tonopah and suitable for open pit mining. Allied Nevada Gold Corp. of Reno, NV, holds the other 25% of the project.

West Kirkland puts the measured and indicated resources at 70.9 million tonnes grading 0.56 g/t AuEq for 1.28 million oz of gold equivalent. There are also 63.4 million inferred tonnes at 0.37 g/t AuEq and containing 760,000 oz of gold equivalent.

The partners believe the increased capital costs of using high pressure rolls will be offset by increased recoveries and lower operating costs.
