Prime Minister Stephen Harper has shuffled his Cabinet and named former minister of public works Christian Paradis to the top slot at Natural Resources Canada. Former NRCan minister Lisa Raitt is now the labour minister.

 

Dr. Matt Ball has accepted an appointment as COO and a seat the board of Bralorne Gold Mines of Vancouver.

 

Candente Gold of Vancouver has named Darin Wagner to its board of directors. He was president of Sydney Resource Corp. at the time it merged with Band-Ore Resources to form West Timmins Mining. He is also president and CEO of West Timmins.

 

Darren Lindsay is the new VP exploration at Vancouver's Kodiak Exploration. He has over 15 years' experience in large scale exploration and feasibility level projects, including the Madrid and Doris gold deposits in Hope Bay, NU.

 

Vancouver-based Northern Freegold has realigned its management, appointing Bill Harris as chairman (in addition to his duties as COO), Susan Craig as CEO (retaining her role as president), and John Anderson to the board.

 

Robert Quartermain has resigned the position of president and CEO of Silver Standard Resources of Vancouver. A.E. Michael Anglin will be interim president and CEO while the company searches for Quartermain's successor.
