NORTHWEST TERRITORIES - The 2011 deep drilling program at the Prairie Creek zinc-lead mine has intersected what the owner, Canadian Zinc Corp. of Vancouver, says is the Prairie Creek host structure. Vein-type zinc-lead-silver mineralization was intersected about 1.7 km north of the mine and along a projected strike extension of the geological structure that hosts the mineral resources at the mine.

Canadian Zinc says two drill intercepts were made approximately 100 metres west of the fold axis of the main regional antiform in an identical structural setting to that of the resource in the main mine zone.

The 2011 diamond drilling program at Prairie Creek was completed at the end of October as winter set in. Assays are pending and will be posted at www.CanadianZinc.com.
