QUEBEC - For the third consecutive year, Aurizon Mines of Vancouver reports increased reserves and resources at its Casa Berardi gold mine 95 km north of La Sarre. As of Dec. 31, 2009, proven and probable underground reserves were 3.8 million tonnes grading 7.6 g/t Au, up 19% from a year earlier. Open pit reserves were unchanged at 635,000 tonnes grading 4.0 g/t Au.

Total measured and indicated resources were 5.1 million tonnes at 5.6 g/t Au, up 2% from 2008. Inferred resources rose to 4.5 million tonnes at 6.6 g/t Au, also up 2%.

Casa Berardi recently confirmed the extension of Zone 123, drilling intervals in two holes of 5.5 /t Au over 10 metres, 8.1 g/t over 6.5 metres and 9.2 g/t over 5 metres. Details are available at www.Aurizon.com.
