ONTARIO – Gold Canyon Resources of Vancouver is testing its Springpole gold property with solid results. Recent assay results included 39.5 metres grading 6.51 g/t Au and 57.5 metres at 3.23 g/t Au. The property is located 1109 km northeast of the Red Lake mining camp.

Gold Canyon said further that a hole drilled near the pit wall intersected 101 metres grading 0.93 g/t Au. This is a newly discovered mineralized zone situated northwest of the Portage zone.

In November 2012 open pit resources included 128.2 million indicated tonnes grading 1.07 g/t Au and 5.7 g/t Ag plus 25.7 million inferred tonnes grading 0.83 g/t Au and 3.2 g/t Ag.
