GOLD: Victoria Gold chooses Cat fleet for Eagle project

YUKON – Toronto’s Victoria Gold Corp. has chosen a fleet of Caterpillar equipment for its developing Eagle gold mine375 km north of Whitehorse. The project has entered the basic and detailed engineering phase for a mine that will average 190,000 oz. of gold annually during its 10  years of operation.

Victoria Gold is buying two Cat 6040FS shovels for its Eagle gold mine.

Finning (Canada) will supply two 6040FS hydraulic shovels, 11 135-tonne, 785D haul trucks, and various auxiliary equipment. The total cost of the new fleet is approximately US$50 million. Delivery of the equipment is expected between late 2017 and Q3 2018.
