Harvey McLeod of Klohn Crippen Berger has received the Robert R. Hedley Award from the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia. The award recognizes AME BC members working globally and who made significant contributions or advances in the realm of social or environmental responsibility. McLeod was one of the first to recognize the effect of acid rock drainage on the physical environment.

Lamelee Iron Ore of Montreal has named Hubert Vallee as president and CEO. He is a veteran of Quebec Cartier, Iron Ore Company of Canada, Century Iron Mines, and Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines.

In preparation for future resource definition programs at its Chidliak diamond project, Peregrine Diamonds of Vancouver has added Dr. Herman Grutter and Dave Skelton to the team. Grutter assumes the role of exploration program manager. Skelton has been engaged as an advisor to the evaluation program manager.
