Toronto-based Armistice Resources has changed its name to Kerr Mines Inc. Executives at the company include chairman Stephen McIntyre, president and CEO Gregory Gibson, VP exploration David Beilhartz, COO Tyler Culhane, CFO Andres Tinajero, and corporate secretary Lisa McCormack.

Asian Mineral Resources has named Evan Spencer to the role of CEO, replacing Simon Booth. Spencer was previously COO of Kagara.

Cristiano Melcher is the new president and CEO of MBAC Fertilizer Corp. in Toronto. The appointment is effective on Feb. 1, 2014, when Antenor Silver steps down from the duties but remains on the corporate board. For the last three years, Melcher was CEO of Fosbrasil, and before that he worked in several business divisions at Anglo American.

Ron Graham, global technical governance manager for SGS Mineral Services, is the recipient of the 2013 Ted Linde Leadership Award. This award recognizes active members of the ASTM E01 committee who have demonstrated outstanding leadership. This is Graham’s third award from the ASTM, having been previously recognized with the ASTM R. A. Glenn Award (Committee D05 on Coal and Coke) in 1992 and the ASTM Award of Merit in 1998.
