YUKON – The most recent resource estimate from Wellgreen Platinum of Vancouver for its Wellgreen deposit 320 km northwest of Whitehorse includes 5.53 million oz of platinum+palladium+gold. The company is preparing a preliminary economic assessment that is to be completed in September 2014.

The Wellgreen deposit contains 330 million measured and indicated tonnes at 1.67 g/t PtEq or 0.44% NiEq when a cut-off of 0.57g/t PtEq or 0.15% NiEq is used. The pit constrained resource contains 1.89 billion lb of nickel and 1.02 billion lb of copper as well as the precious metals noted above.

The inferred resource increased to 46 million tonnes at 1.57 g/t PtEq or 0.41% NiEq using the same cut-off grade. The inferred in-pit resource contains 13.8 million oz of Pt+Pd+Au, 4.43 billion lb of nickel and 2.60 billion lb of copper.

Wellgreen said there are significant higher grade sections within the resource material. The high grade measured and indicated resource is 72 million tonnes at 4.29 g/t PtEq or 0.65% Ni Eq. The high grade inferred portion is 174 million tonnes at 2.41 g/t PtEq or 0.63% NiEq. The cut-off used to determine the higher grade material was 1.9 g/t PtEq or 0.50% NiEq.
