TESTING: AGAT Labs offers full service from exploration to production

CALGARY – AGAT Laboratories has recently received accreditation for its Thunder Bay location through the Standards Council Canada (SCC). This accreditation allows the company to expand its service offerings across multiple locations, further bolstering the turnaround times and deliverables for the mining industry.

The Thunder Bay laboratory complements the Mississauga laboratory, along with additional sample preparation facilities in Burnaby, B.C., Timmins, Ont., Val-d’Or, Que., and Whitehorse, Yukon.

“AGAT Laboratories’ Mining Geochemistry labs support mining and mineral exploration companies in all stages of their process from exploration and development to environmental monitoring and restoration” said Gordon Nelson, CEO of AGAT Laboratories.  The focus of the company continues to be on developing personalized solutions for every client. AGAT’s technical expertise provides the strength and experience needed to tailor our packages and service offerings to the individualized project, understanding that variability and unique chemistry challenges differ across locations. In the lab world, no two sites are identical and adaptability is key.

Earlier this year AGAT Laboratories completed the acquisition of Trican Geological Solutions (TGS) in Calgary, AB which provided specialized testing in enhanced rock mechanics. This strategic acquisition offered new services to clients to support the field of tight rock resource analysis and evaluation.

With 43 locations across Canada, AGAT has adopted a full service approach to the mining industry with service offerings in areas such as Mining Geochemistry, Geology and Petrology, Environmental Chemistry, Air Quality Monitoring and Lubricants Testing Services.

From grass roots, to mining to remediation AGAT Laboratories is committed to supporting the needs of the mining industry.
