NET NITS – Another new gold mine

We have been reminded by alert reader Herbert Dopp that in our roundup of new gold mines (Four new mines on three continents, Nov. 26, 2006) that we neglected GBS GOLD INTERNATIONAL of Vancouver. Indeed we did, and we apologize. GBS officially opened its Union Reefs operation on Nov. 9 in the Northern Territory, Australia.

Independent investor John Hardt of Ireland wrote to say that we also omitted GALANTAS GOLD CORP., which is building a gold mine at Omagh, Ireland. This is good news, indeed, but our article highlighted Canadian companies, and Galantas is domiciled in the United Kingdom.
