Englobe announced that it has completed the acquisition of BESTECH Canada Limited, a Sudbury‑based multidisciplinary engineering firm. Founded in 1995, BESTECH employs more than 100 professionals and provides engineering services to the mining and power sectors across the project lifecycle. Its expertise includes infrastructure design, electrical and control systems engineering, site closure and rehabilitation, mine hoist systems, and high‑voltage power and transmission design for utility clients.

The acquisition increases Englobe’s technical capacity in the mining sector and expands its ability to deliver integrated services for mines, mills, smelters and refineries. Englobe said the addition of BESTECH complements its environmental, geotechnical, materials and multidisciplinary capabilities and strengthens its presence in Sudbury and other active Canadian mining markets.

“BESTECH brings deep, specialized mining expertise that directly strengthens our national mining platform. This partnership expands our ability to support mining clients through all stages of project development and operation, particularly for technically demanding and capital-intensive projects," Mike Cormier, president of Englobe said.

“Joining Englobe allows us to scale BESTECH’s mining services while maintaining the technical focus our clients rely on. Together, we are supporting our people and reinforcing our commitment to operating as a ‘Partner of Choice’ for our clients, employees, and communities, while building on the quality and integrity BESTECH is known for across the industry," Marz Kord, president of BESTECH, stated.

BESTECH will continue to operate with its existing team and client relationships, now supported by Englobe’s national resources.
