BRITISH COLUMBIA - Vancouver-based Imperial Metals continues to cut long and strong intersections during drilling at its Red Chris project 80 km south of Dease Lake. The best recent hole assayed 0.50% Cu, 0.59 g/t Au and 0.1% Mo over 1,135 metres, including 1.16% Cu, 1.88 g/t Au and 1.32% Mo over 72.5 metres.

The company will delineate the Red Chris mineralized system to at least 1,000 metres this year. Deeper parts of the porphyry deposit are in the early stages of exploration.

Assay details of the four recent holes are posted at www.ImperialMetals.com in the news release dated April 12, 2010.
