VANCOUVER — When you're one of the most successful exploration outfits in a region, it makes sense to take a tried-and-true discovery formula and apply it across a wide swath of under-explored properties, and that's the goal at Fission 3.0 (TSXV: FUU; US-OTC: FISOF).

Fission 3.0 was the result of a spin-out deal between sister company Fission Uranium (TSXV: FCU; US-OTC: FCUUF) and Alpha Exploration (TSXV: AEX), with Fission ending up with sole ownership of the exciting Patterson Lake South (PLS) uranium discovery after it purchased Alpha's share for roughly $185 million.

PLS was responsible for extending the southern boundaries of Saskatchewan’s prolific Athabasca Basin, and the team at Fission 3.0 is hoping lightning will strike twice as it looks to a large portfolio of early stage assets that could yield its second major discovery in two years.
