BRITISH COLUMBIA – Ascot Resources of Vancouver is drilling the old Premier gold mine, a past producer of 2.1 million oz of gold and 44.9 million oz of silver near Stewart. The 2016 program concentrates on the old mine area where 42,200 metres of drilling will be done on 25-metre centres. Ascot says the mineralization continues to show good continuity, and several holes intersected visible gold and electrum in areas not previously tested. The best hole was P16-1000 drilled in the Upper Main zone: 65.96 metres of 5.53 g/t Au, including 17.12 metres of 20.13 g/t, including 3.05 metres of 104.74 g/t, and including 1.50 metres at 121.00 g/t Au. Last month, Ascot made a successful $4-million private placement to fund this year’s work at Eagle. Full details are available at www.AscotResources.ca.
