BRITISH COLUMBIA – Skeena Resources of Vancouver has released the maiden resource estimate for its Spectrum gold-copper project in the northwestern part of the province. Using the conceptual pit plan and a cut-off of 0.50 g/t Au, the deposit may contain approximately 75 million lb of copper and more than a million ounces of gold. The indicated resources is 8.85 million tonnes grading 1.04 g/t Au, 0.11% Cu, and 6.58 g/t Ag. In terms of contained metal, that is 290,000 oz of gold and 20.84 million lb of copper. The inferred resource contains 750,000 oz of gold and 54.89 million lb of copper in 22.63 million tonnes grading 1.03 g/t Au 0.11% Cu, and 3.85 g/t Ag. Skeena says the porphyry mineralization in open to the west of its 1.1-km length, as well as to the north and south. A drill program has been laid out to test the extent of mineralization in each of the directions. The target zone will also be investigated by IP methods.
