GOLD EXPLORATION: Appalaches granted dewatering permit for Dufferin mine

NOVA SCOTIA – The dewatering permit from the provincial environmental ministry has been received, and Ressources Appalaches of Rimouski, QC, can proceed with its underground exploration program at the old Dufferin gold mine near Port Dufferin. The company is ready to purchase equipment and hire certified staff to conduct the dewatering program.

When the underground workings are accessible, the company will proceed with sampling and mapping. Underground drilling will begin shortly after. There is also a processing plant that will be refurbished on the Dufferin site.

Work done by Ressources Appalaches since 2009 has extended the known size of the mineralized zone along strike to 1,400 metres and to a depth of 360 metres. More information is available at RessourcesAppalaches.com.
