ONTARIO – Vancouver-based Gold Canyon Resources reports good assays from its Springpole gold project 110 km northeast of the Red Lake Mining Camp. Notable assays were received from both the Portage and Main zones.

Along the northeast margin of the Portage zone, hole 146 encountered 343 metres of 1.50 g/t Au. On the southwest margin, hole 142 cut 232.5 metres of 0.97 g/t Au. Hole 143, again on the northeast margin, cut several mineralized intervals, the longest of which was 116.9 metres of 0.80 g/t Au.

Drilling on the Main zone targeted deeper parts of the occurrence. Hole 139 curt 2 metres of 31.99 g/t Au. Hole 140 intersected 10-metre and 14-metre sections, grading 0.61 g/t and 0.87 g/t Au, respectively.
