LANGLEY, British Columbia – Sepro Mineral Systems Corp. now offers an add-on for the semi-batch 5200B Falcon concentrator rotor bowl lining that extends the useful life of the machine. The lower strike point (LSP) insert has demonstrated significantly improved wear resistance during field trials.

The company recently embarked on an extensive six-month R&D project and it was confirmed that the LSP insert provided stronger wear resistance over rubber and ceramic lining under harsh wear conditions. Used at Detour Gold, the LSP lasted 1.5 to 2.0 times longer than the original ceramic tiles.

The molded rubber LSP insert ring can be installed into the Falcon concentrator basin impact wear area without bowl removal, and is specifically formulated to increase wear resistance in severe conditions. The use of this insert is intended to reduce downtime, operation costs and inventory needs for SB5200B Falcon customers.

Sepro is making the LSP insert available to all current Falcon SB5200B owners as a low cost retro-fit parts package. All new SB5200-SFC units sold will incorporate this latest enhancement as the design standard. The company is developing plans to release the LSP insert for the SB2500B Falcon model in the near future.
