NEWFOUNDLAND – Maritime Resources Corp. of Vancouver has hired AMEC's St. John's, NL, office to help the company get the first phases of permitting started on the Green Bay gold project in the King's Point area. AMEC will also assist in the preparation of the environmental assessment registration document.

AMEC's first job will be the preparation of a project regulatory analysis and plan for all potential permits and approvals for development and operation of a mine. Then the consultant will prepared the environmental assessment prior to public review.

Maritime said that following environmental approval it may proceed with permitting and construction within the next three years.
