GOLD MERGER: Canplats shareholders approve Goldcorp deal

VANCOUVER — Shareholders of Canplats Resources have approved the previously announced acquisition of Canplats by Goldcorp at a recent special meeting. Approximately 94% of the outstanding common shares and 52.7% of the outstanding securities were voted in favour of the deal.
