VANCOUVER – Midas Gold Corp. is the proud winner of the 2015 environmental excellence award presented by the Idaho Association of Commerce & Industry. The award recognizes innovative leadership in environmental protection and enhancement.

Midas is exploring for gold at the Stibnite (Golden Meadows) project, 16 km east of Yellow Pine, ID. The junior company has invested time and money into solving the legacy issues from former work at the site. The current exploration work leaving little environmental impact, and a fishery has been re-established upstream from the site. Roads have been realigned to avoid drainage disturbance, and the mill has been relocated to the old town site rather than an area of pristine wetland.

"Midas Gold is honoured to receive this award from one of Idaho's leading business associations," said Stephen Quin, president & CEO. "Our focus on the restoration of the Stibnite gold project site is part of a long term commitment to environmental improvement and sustainable development, and we look forward to building on these efforts in the future."
