ONTARIO – Orefinders Resources of Toronto has let two contracts for phase one of its Mirado stockpile gold project near Kirkland Lake. SCR Mining and Tunneling of Sudbury, ON, will act as the mining contractor for the project. SCR will crush the ore on site to a size between 100 to 200 mm andl then truck it to the Westwood mill. This is a turnkey mining and logistic solution for the crushing and transport the ore, noted Orefinderes. Orefinders has also engaged Soutex of Quebec City as metallurgical consultants on phase one processing. Soutex has extensive experience in managing metallurgical and process engineering projects and has worked with the team at Westwood on previous engagements. The stockpiles were created when the Mirado open pit mine was active during the 1980s. Details are available at www.Orefinders.ca.
