ONTARIO – Premier Gold Mines of Thunder Bay, ON, has filed a 43-101 compliant resource estimate for its Hardrock gold project. Although contained resources in the indicated category have grown 50%, overall inferred resources contain 27% fewer contained ounces.
The indicated resource stands at 89.04 million tonnes grading 1.70 g/t Au and containing 4.87 million oz of gold. The inferred portion includes 23.15 million tonnes grading 3.69 g/t Au or 2.74 million contained oz. Both open pit and underground mining are planned.
The Hardrock deposit is the largest of four deposits near Geraldton that make up Premier's Trans-Canada property. The others are Key Lake, Bankfield West and Kailey. A feasibility study based on the Hardrock resources is due in the first half of 2015.
