QUEBEC – If recent drilling is anything to go by Eastmain Resources of Toronto is having no problem drilling high grades at its Clearwater gold-silver project in the James Bay area. The best results have been 25.6 g/t Au over 2.0 metres, 24.8 g/t over 2.0 metres, and 20.4 g/t over 3.0 metres in separate holes drilled at the Eau Claire deposit. The company said in a release that drilling and sampling demonstrate both continuity and good grades extending both laterally and vertically beyond currently defined resources. A total 12,837 metres in 29 holes of definition drilling was done. Ten of the cores contained very fine grained visible gold grading as much as 98.8 g/t. Four holes intersected copper-gold-silver mineralization in the upper portion of the Eau Claire deposit; assays ranged from 0.44% to 1.30% Cu, 0.14 to 0.60 g/t Au, and 7.08 to 13.7 g/t Ag. Eastmain is working on a preliminary economic assessment of the deposit. Please visit Eastmain.com for more information.
