VANCOUVER – Integra Gold Corp. has given top prize for its Gold Rush Challenge to the SGS Geostat team from Quebec. They beat out four other finalists with their submission that utilized a combination of machine learning and traditional geological methods to produce targets across Integra’s Lamaque gold project in Val-d'Or, QC. The SGS Geostat team includes Guy Desharnais, Jean-Philippe Paiement, Doug Hatfield, Nicolas Babin, Claude Bisaillon, Yann Camus, Maxime Dupéré, Matthew Halliday, Amanda Landriault, Lyne Maître, Patrick Perez, and Nicolas Poupart. For winning, the SGS team was awarded $500,000. The live finale raised $250,000 for local charities in Val d’Or. Second place went to The Data Miners ($150,000), third place to The Goldcrushers ($80,000), fourth place to Paul Pearson ($50,000), and fifth place to GoldRX ($50,000).
