Gonedelease Mining, a 100% Indigenous-owned exploration company, has completed legal survey field work in support of its mining lease application for Mining Claim 948486 in northern Ontario.
The field program confirmed legal survey evidence, boundary measurements, monumentation, geological coordinate control and analysis of existing road and hydro corridors. The company says it is currently completing its final report of survey and regulatory review of the Crown Lands Reference Plan to meet required revisions before submission.
“Completing the legal survey fieldwork is one of the most important tenure milestones achieved on this property,” said Scott Milburn, Gonedelease’s senior vice-president. “We are advancing the project in a disciplined manner from active mining-claim tenure toward the longer-term tenure framework provided by a mining lease.”
Mining Claim 948486 is located in Mutrie Township, 133 kilometres east of Kenora, Ont. Gonedelease holds 100% interest in the claim through Ontario Mining Lands Administration System client number 10010272. The company was given consent to survey the property in March by the Ontario Provincial Mining Recorder.
A mining lease provides the company with support for future exploration planning, financing and project advancement, but does not authorize construction or operation of a mine. Separate regulatory approvals would be required for future mining development.
