Metallic Minerals (TSXV: MMG; OTC: MMNGF) reports drilling 1,310 g/t silver over 6.7 metres at its Caribou target at the Keno silver project in Yukon. High-grade silver mineralization has been drilled both down-dip and south along strike with a total of 5,980 metres so far.

Hole CH22-01 intersected two separate veins within a broad zone of bulk tonnage mineralization. From 91.5 to 92.0 metres the hole returned 348 g/t silver-equivalent. From 125.2 to 125.7 metres, the same hole returned 1,201 g/t silver-equivalent. The high-grade intersections occur at the edges of a 32.2-metre zone grading 38 g/t silver-equivalent.

Hole CH22-05 at the southern edge of the Caribou target intersected 1,310 g/t silver-equivalent over 0.5 metre at a depth of 44 metres.

The Caribou target is one of three “resource ready” targets at the Keno silver project. The other two are Formo and Fox. Metallic has hired SGS Geological Services to complete the first mineral resource estimate (MRE) due in the second half of this year.

The Caribou target is in the central part of the Keno silver district. Historically, the Caribou zone produced ore grading more than 1,000 g/t silver from near surface. It is interpreted to be a significant connecting structure between the main shear structures in the Keno Summit corridor.

Similarly, the Fox and Formo targets also show broader zones of mineralization that may be amenable to bulk mining methods.
