Vancouver-based American Lithium has named Dana Brock VP of geosciences and engineering. He has worked in the United States and 10 other countries developing facilities for geothermal well fields, low temperature and mineralized waters, municipal and private water supplies, plus mineral exploration and underground construction. Edward C. Dowling has been elected to the board of Detour Gold Corp. in Toronto. He holds degrees in mining engineering and mineral processing from Pennsylvania State University. He is also chairman of Alacer Gold. Noront Resources of Toronto has hired Ryan Weston as its new VP exploration. He has a background in base and precious metal exploration and has filled numerous senior roles, most recently as chief geologist for Carlisle Goldfields and as senior geologist for Cliffs Natural Resources working on the Ring of Fire chromite properties. The new COO and VP of Montreal’s Orbite Technologies is Charles Taschereau. He was recently CEO of a Caterpillar dealer in Africa, and before that he was COO at Canada Lithium before it was acquired by RB Energy. West Melville Metals of Vancouver has named Stephen Swatton to its board of directors as well as the roles of president and CEO. He replaces Rory Moore. Craig Roberts and Gary Freeman have also agreed to join the board.
